The level of academic achievement among students at Bethesda is consistently high. On the Stanford Achievement Tests administered to BCS students in grades K-8, the average Stanford score for each class typically ranks in the top 15% of the nation. Year after year, the mean average SAT composite score of BCS seniors has been well above the national average—surpassing not only the mean scores of public school students, but those of their private school counterparts as well.
THE FOUNDATION FOR STRONG ACADEMICS: EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATORS
Academically well-trained and caring teachers, undergirded by seasoned administrators and support staff, provide the framework for the ongoing quality of instruction and subsequent student achievement.
At the helm of Bethesda Christian School is its veteran principal, who was selected in 2010 as a National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP). This award recognizes elementary and middle school principals who set high standards for instruction, student achievement, and character of the students, families, and staff in their learning community.
A large percentage of Bethesda’s faculty hold advanced degrees, with a number holding degrees in multiple fields. Our experienced educators also bring to the classroom their life experiences, including a number who have served as missionaries and teachers overseas, as law enforcement and military personnel. Their wealth of experience brings context to the learning experience at Bethesda Christian School.
Bethesda Christian School is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
