NEW DATE FOR OUR 2018 INFORMATION NIGHT
Mark your calendars! Monday, Feb. 19 at 6:00 p.m. is the new date for our 2018 Information Night. Both prospective families and current BCS families whose children will be transitioning into middle or senior school in 2018-2019 are encouraged to attend. Those interested in the event can RSVP here.
JANUARY 22: SECONDARY CLASS PICTURE DAY
Next Monday, Jan. 22, is Class Picture Day for grades 6-11. Students have been given picture order envelopes from their teachers, but if your child did not receive any, extras are available in the school office. Elementary families: Please note that elementary class pictures will be taken on Feb. 26, while spring individual pictures will occur on Mar. 5.
JANUARY 22: BETHESDA NIGHTS
Join us Monday, Jan. 22 at the Chick-fil-a located in both Alliance Town Center (2870 Heritage Trace Pkwy) and Presidio Towne Crossing (2401 N Tarrant Pkwy) for Bethesda Nights! Be sure to tell your cashier that you are with Bethesda or present this flyer. We look forward to seeing you there!
HONDURAS PRAYS UPDATES
July 16-22, we will be joining Light of Life International and 500+ missionaries for a week of eternal importance in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The trip is open to any adults and high school students. Younger students are able to participate with an adult chaperone. The student cost of the trip is $1,200 + airfare + food for the week. The chaperone cost is $900 + airfare + food. A $300 non-refundable deposit is due by Jan. 31, which secures the hotel. Checks can be addressed to "Light Of Light International" and turned into Molly Courtney.
JANUARY 29: TRACK PARENTS MEETING
Parents of both middle school and varsity track students are invited to join Coach Robb on Monday, Jan. 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Living Room. During the meeting, Coach Robb will: Discuss expectations Provide practice schedules Provide meet schedules Introduce coaches If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Coach Robb for a schedule.
UPCOMING CPR/AED TRAINING
The CERT Club is coordinating a CPR/AED training. The cost is $20 per student, which pays for the required CPR book. The date is to be determined but will be in the near future. If interested in participating, please email Mrs. Schmidt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
FEBRUARY 12-15: ENTERPRISE WEEK IS COMING!
Enterprise Week will be the week of Feb. 12-15. Students in grades 4-12 may register as vendors. If you would like to participate or obtain more information, please contact Ms. Thornton at the school office or by email at email@example.com. The deadline for vendor registration is Wednesday, Feb. 7.
BOX TOPS COLLECTION
It's time to gather your Box Tops and get them ready for collection week, Feb. 12-16! For each Box Top collected during Feb. 12-16, BCS will receive $0.10 from General Mills. While this may not seem like much, they add up quickly! Let's get collecting those Box Tops!
