BCS recognizes that the Lord’s highest priority for people is to know Him and to make Him known to others. Consequently, Bethesda Christian School’s highest goal for students is to foster their spiritual lives, encouraging in them a love for God and the development of Christ-like character.
In addition to regular Bible classes, BCS students attend chapel services on Monday mornings. Separate services are conducted for the elementary and secondary schools.
Typical chapel services include a time of praise and worship, along with Bible teaching. Guest speakers, Christian groups, and missionaries frequently minister during BCS chapels, giving students exposure to the work that God is accomplishing through other believers outside of Bethesda’s walls.
The Bethesda Christian School Praise Band leads worship for middle and senior school chapel. Composed of students, Praise Band members are gifted musicians with hearts to lead fellow students and staff in worshipping the Lord. Students interested in serving with Praise Band are invited to audition in the spring for ministering during the following school term.
Elementary students may voluntarily participate in a prayer group before the school day begins. Designed primarily for students in grades 3-5, the group endeavors to help students know God better by spending time with Him in worship, prayer and the Word. Days and times may vary. Please contact the school office for details.
