Summer Reading Program
Bethesda Christian School assigns summer reading to students for the purpose of fostering reading and comprehension skills, vocabulary building, a love for reading, and to expose students to quality literature. Elementary students entering grades 1-3 are assigned a certain length of reading time each day, while students entering grades 4-12 are assigned specific books as required reading.
Each of the summer reading lists below provides information regarding reading assignments that are due by the beginning of the new school year. A list of recommended titles for supplemental reading is also included.
