A Christian Private School Serving Students in K-12

Admissions Process

For a student to be admitted to Bethesda Christian School, the parent must embrace the Christian philosophy of education that is preeminent at Bethesda, and the student should demonstrate potential to be successful in the classroom.

BCS is not equipped to meet the needs of all students with diagnosed learning differences. If a student is admitted with a pre-diagnosed learning difference, it is the parent’s responsibility to secure outside evaluation(s) and tutoring to meet the student’s needs. Also, if a student is diagnosed with a learning difference while attending Bethesda, it is the parent’s responsibility to secure outside tutoring to meet the needs of the student.

All prospective students and their families are encouraged to visit the school. Please schedule an appointment by calling the school office.

Complete an online application. The following items are included in the application process:

  • A Non-refundable Application Fee of $100 – Payment for an online application can be made via credit card only. If payment by another option is preferred, submission of a hard-copy application is required.
  • Medical Records – Certified copy of birth certificate (required for K-5 applicants only); immunization record
  • School Records – Transcripts, current standardized test results. If no current nationally-normed test results are available, a screening conducted by BCS will be required.
  • Recommendations – Completed reference forms are required from the student’s current principal or school counselor, teacher(s), and pastor or youth pastor.

Parents of prospective applicants are required to have an interview with the principal. A separate interview is required for all middle and senior school applicants. An interview is scheduled only after the application process has been completed.

Applicants are notified of the admission committee’s decision within two weeks after the interview with the principal has been conducted.

Once admitted to Bethesda Christian School, applicants will receive additional information about the steps necessary for enrollment. A non-refundable enrollment fee of $400 must be submitted as one of those requirements.
